Land Rover, Lan Drover or Land Drover - how do you say it?!?

Bit of a jokey thread as I got pulled up on it by the wife while trying to correct my 3 year old son saying “Hand Rover”

I do and have for the past 8 years called my car a “Land Drover” Shocked

Even now I know about it – I still cant help it!!!

Lol – I will shut up now and sit in the corner Whistle
 Last of the D4 HSE...

I was tempted to apply the bonnet badge as "LAN DROVER"; it's what I called it as a kiddy, so why not?! Very Happy

I guess I say it how it spells. But do you give it it's full title "Discovery" or call it a Disco? When you call it a Disco, to the uninitiated you can get odd looks of misunderstanding. "I've got a Disco" to them probably means a glitter ball and some Bee Gees and Donna Summer records.

I guess for me...

It's Disco if we discuss which carcwe use.
Land Rover if asked as to what I've got & "it's what's written on the tin"
It derived from Rover

If I were dafter than I appear on here I'd swap to Randy Lover
My eldest had a ScoobyDoo WRX

The move to the sub brand of "Discovery" with individual models "Sport" when there are other sports being made alongside may end up confusing.
Disco 1, Disco 2 & Disco 3/4.....all very clear & easy.
Although the D5 is the fifth incarnation it isn't badged anywhere as such in the vehicle.

(Mods please don't move this mail to the soecific "5" section as I can't post in there.)
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Those of us who recall the marque as "Rover" have no difficulty of pronounciation with the additional off-road descriptor.
