My Land Rover experiance ..sorry just not good enough.
My D4 8 months old 7,000 miles. This vehicle is my pride and joy, bought new, not a mark on it it's not my daily drive.Needed to go back to main dealer stop start not working.Needed to drive quite a way to the dealers.Lent an Evoque for the day.....if you have ever driven one of these then you may know what I am taliking about, uncomfortable ride probuably due to the skinny tyres,if ever a vehicle had and identity crisis this vehicle is it.Am a sports car it goes like stink !!am a 4x4 or what am I? Glad to get out of it. Anyway back to the point. After returning to the dealer the first thing I noticed was the drivers tred plate was badly scratched I pointed this out to the manager man oh sorry sir well what are you going to do about it and after some deliberating etc they agreed to replace the tred plates, yes all as they were an after market fit so would not match the LR ones.I drive away not happy and yes the start stop worked twice then failed again...I guess some days are like that

it is very difficult to know whether start/stop is working. Sometimes it kicks in sometimes not. Depends on temp/engine temp/what you have on in the car at the time and appears quite random. Mine doesn't work much this time of year.Gary

Stop start sucks. You could have saved yourself all the agro by not going to the dealer at all. No Evoque no tread plate damage, no waste of time.

Mine always seems to work ok, I don't find it a problem at all, and it's saves a few hundred quid a year on road tax, so win win Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Just be glad it is the start bit that works and not the stop.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

My stop/start is also very random..... after a long drive works all the time - shorter journeys - say a few miles (just enough to get the temperature gauge in the midway point) may work but often not.
I think its the car getting the batteries up to the appropriate capacity before the stop/start works. Never worried about it..... 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

My one works perfectly in the summer but not so in the winter, its all to do with load on the batteries and external temperatures etc, I've had it on a few LRs and they've all been pretty much the same. I wouldn't worry about it, it's only good for cheaper road tax.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
