Some people have stripped out the ash tray and fitted extra USB's but with what's available you can mod this area to your hearts content a.k.a. DSL, he fitted one of these:

has guided me now towards this
wondering if this is the kind of thing, omitting the ash tray
also got one of those volt meters , really good in giving a general voltage reading

I think in the picture above DSL has removed the ash tray and fitted the Anker unit.
If you look at his picture, there's still a flap over the right hand battery indicator ( blue thing ). Mods:

also seen what a great position it is to mount a CB
was actually thinking of putting mine in the upper glove box
got the tti 900 , now got some roof rails , so thinking an ideal place to put a cb aerial

thats ok, I've been looking at places to locate my CB and Ham units too. Having a HSE, most of the available spaces are filled with toys of the marque Dave
