Sounds like a good dealer
Most wait for you to find faults then argue about it
It should be worth the wait and then you will enjoy it more than noticing the kerbed wheels later Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
Still hoping for a S2 one day!

If it is a brand new car I'd insist on new wheels as refurbs are only really any use if the tyre is stripped and the wheel fully painted. Even if not new I'd still insist on new wheels but then I know I am perhaps a bit picky! I went to pick up a brand new TT years ago and arrived to find two badly scratched alloys. I had the dealer take wheels off a showroom car as they had weeks to prep the car yet allowed me to make a 3 hour train trip to collect an imperfect car. Still as has been said, at least your dealer didn't wait for you to arrive and spot the damage yourself and that is a positive.

It was a second hand car 2014 GS with leather & after expecting to pick it up today I told them give me my deposit back and bought a ca same year from a different dealership & only a £1000 more, three different dealerships have let me down after them taking deposits, but this dealership wants the full payment by Friday and then I can pick it up Saturday, I have said no money until confirmation on Friday it's ready

I never pay for vehicle until day of collection and then only after I inspect even from a franchised dealer Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Understand your frustration but I think you're nuts walking away from a dealer who is proactively picking up faults that you presumably had not spotted, but hey ho each to their own

I purchased a used D3 from a Kentdale that had a fault turn up when tested, took them 2 weeks to sort. Must admit I was very impressed that they delivered a brand new Freelander 175 miles to me as a FOC loan car whilst doing the work and delivered the D3 as well. I would recommend them to anyone.
