Hi i picked up a devon 4x4 tank guard second hand of everyone favourite auction site. I been under the motor looking at fitting it it seems like its just 2 bolts at the front and 1 at the back.
But my question is if i undo these 3 boltsis the tank going to drop also do i leave the old tin guard on and fit this underneath. If any one has fitted one of these please let me know.

I have the full D44 protection installed. I installed this some time ago, and I don't remember the tank guard being an issue at all. I think this was the easiest of all of them. I don't remember the tank dropping, so think it was straight forward. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
Cheers
John

Can you run any of the D44 guards with a Mantec sump guard or do you have to run all D44? Tonga Green D3

No I doubt you can, as the D44 all bolts together, as can be seen on their website. Plus the front guard bolts to their hidden winch bumper, which makes for very strong underbody protection. Mines taken some massive hits, especially on river crossings when you cannot see the river bed.

Yes I have their hidden winch mount and winch fitted. It's actually a complete bumper replacement, and is incredibly strong. Plus it has two D hooks for recovery points.

Sorry for the thread resurrection but I've also just picked up a D44 fuel tank guard without any fixings!
The photos on this thread show a stand-off on the forth chassis bolt, can I ask how you got round this? Did you manage to source one somewhere?
