Near side cubby in boot.

I have been storing some wee plastic boxes (I think they retail as 'useful boxes') in this cubby. They contain screwdriver & bits/sockets, trim pry things and spare bulbs, oh, and a spare dry-bag. As there are loads of wires and connectors in the cubby I am wary of damaging the electrics. I seem to recall other folk store loads of stuff in the space there, but how do you protect the electrics (and avoid things pitching over the wheel arch lip thingy)?

Place all your small boxes in a plastic carrier bag then wrap the bag in an old shirt and arrange in the cubby. Shirt will come in handy if you get your hands dirty away from any washing facilities. To jolt anything over the wheel arch hump will require some serious rough driving. I have similar in my D3 and nothing nasty has happened over the past 5 years or so. Thumbs Up

Thanks for the reassurance. Thumbs Up I had thought about wrapping the boxes in a towel but was wary of condensation/damp issues (even though towel would be dry going in), however , if you've managed for 5 years, I reckon it must be ok! Thanks for the info. Thumbs Up

Ah now, that looks brilliant. Looks like I'll be swapping stuff around the boot space storage and cubby. Many thanks Thumbs Up
