I'm determined not to be a sweaty mess this summer.
With this in mind I have a spanking new condenser to fit this weekend. I'm keen to find out:
1. What is the size of the o-rings used to seal the condenser to the pipe fittings?I had assumed there would be new ones in the box from AF but this doesn't seem to be the case. Logically I should seek to replace these I imagine. I do actually have some domestic aircon tools /equipment available so I'm hoping I can find something suitable in there, else try my luck in a hardware shop
2. Is this a job I should attempt without removing the slam panel? I'm not looking forward to shifting 11 year old bolts
3. Where does the aircon condenser sit is it behind the radiator or in front? Will removing the fan make this job any easier?
Thanks,
Andy

Best to get the seals from an air con place.
Seals should be able to remove the old seals now (2 min job) as the joint is in the engine bay by the coolant bottle I think. and take them to an air con place and as for some the same.
Not that I have looked at it.
I don't think the fan requires removal, thankfully

Check the new condenser as the seals will be in a small polythene bag taped to one of the pipes on the condenser. That where our were as we could not find new seals in the box but noticed they were taped to the condenser. We purchased ours from Island 4x4. D3 TDV6 S MY2005
