Alternator remove and fit
Hi, can anyone tell me if you need to get under the car,to remove the alternator on a LR 3 2.7 or can
The be achieved from under the bonnet only, also is it easy job to do,because I've got to replace mine

Can be done from above, yes. I've done mine from above three times now (Due to dodgy alternator)

Yes, couple of nuts/bolts and harness connectors to do blind but, with the right tools the last time I did it in gale conditions took me about 35 mins. There's some good guides on here, it took me about an hour the first time I did it.

You've got to have a fan spanner 36mm open end ISTR, tool to lock the fan, 13mm flexy head ratchet spanner and a Denso alternator, don't attempt it without them It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Very simple job. Worse bit is undoing the fan ,reverse tread, but after that easy, and all from above.
