I just had a look on an oil spec both are top tier oil for use in high performance petrol engine cars and light diesel engines hope that helps ,FWIW if you were driving in lets say France and you needed to top up your oil what would one do if the oil spec on offer was very slightly above or below the LR spec oil run with low oil level or have a slight mixture ? I would top up with oil .When I was a wild young man we used to banger race and when we lost all coolant we used to do what we called oil and water fill the engine to the top of the rocker box with oil and water never had one seize up

Thumbs Up

Castrol Magnatec is correct oil for your model, Edge is above minimum spec and suitable for engines with DPFilters, both are Castrol and are suitable and will mix without worry for a D3 but not a D4, I try not to mix different brands of oil except in an emergency. You need 5.5 ltr for an oil and filter change and make sure the nipple on the bottom of the filter is located correctly before fitting the filter cap.

It goes where others don't.
