I got back in my Disco after leaving it at the airport for a week and it is showing front pdc faulty on the dash and then the pdc button is flashing. The fault did stop for most of Sunday but it seems to have come back now.
Any ideas on what it might be? It is going in to have the oil pump replaced as a precautionary measure next week, so hopefully they will be able to have a look if nothing comes up on here.

Normally a sensor failure - they get water in them sometimes (I had one that would not work after it had rained). A good diagnostics tool will tell you what the problem is and, if it is a single sensor, which sensor is the problem. Easy to replace once you get the trim off and get behind the bumper and not that expensive to buy. Discovery 4 Landmark ‘16

Front or rear if you dont have a diagnostic tool you can stick it in reverse and and listen to the rear sensors if you get close enough you should hear it clicking same with front in first gear but with either someone in the drivers seat to control it with hand brake off or engine off and key in position 2 on steering lock and go from there
Sorry just saw it says front pdc fault just do the fronts also they do chafe wires behind the bumper ut you properly have a sensor that has said enough is enough Discovery 3 se gone

On my D3....a good rain shower is enough to zap at least one. Then car not use for a day or two the fault hangs on...
Out of frustration & daft cash at dealers & it didn't come right way after a new rear loom - partial fix
I took all the sensors & deluged them with a marine grade water displacement spray meant for crane ropes it doesn't wash off or away.
Difficult to get (but we did) National Chemsearch Pentra-Foam spray meant for wire ropes - I got a sample - which for this supplier is like giving out Crown Jewels.
If you can get them out to bring inside to somewhere warm...then crane wire rope spray (other makes) that was six years ago. Don't try WD40 it washes off easily.
Did Freelander last year.
Strangely the XK doesn't play this game...?... but I'm ready.
Good luck ! BREXIT - done properly.
