Me being stupid, I know.

I'm attempting to hard wire the "new to me" disco 4 for a dash cam. Managed it with the old crv no problem, but when i went to get through the glove box to the fuse box i got stuck. I've read that there are clips on either side to let it flop down, but can't find them. Ended up reconditioning a slave cylinder on my yamaha xjr 1200 so i didn't have a complete wasted afternoon waiting on my new flappy paddle steering wheel arriving. (Which in the end didnt). So, does anyone have pics of the clips? Or a link? Laughing

can't remember exactly but the curved hinges push either in or out wards (not too much force) which disconnect the from the runner and the glove box lid drops down
When you are dead, you do not know you are dead. All of the pain is felt by others. The same thing happens when you are stupid.

Might be a bit obvious, but only the lower glove box has the curved hinges that allow access to the fuses etc, the upper one is somewhat more permanently fixed and requires more effort to remove, but it is possible.

Unfortunately, I haven't any electronic copies of the procedure for this but I'm sure someone one here will have access to topix and can get them for you.
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

I'm pretty sure you squeeze the curved hinge in towards the centre of the glove box to drop it down, after you've done it once it's dead easy. Just one note of caution though, don't close your door with the glovebox in the dropped position Thumbs Up

If you grab each side of the open lower glovebox, the clips are behind each edge, about halfway up. I also find that something back there is greased, so I always have to wipe my hands to stop getting grease all over the trim.
