2nd service done at a different dealer. Adblue missed again |
|
Took my car in to a different dealer this year for it's second year service. Last year the dealer I took it to overfilled the oil and forgot to top up the Adblue.
I'm afraid this second dealer also forgot to top up the Adblue. Their checklist has it but according to the technician, he didn't expect a 15 reg car to have Adblue. Having mentioned it when I booked it in, and again when I arrived I was disappointed. They did drive over to me and topped it up, but for any 15 plate Adblue owners out there always check before you drive away.
There are 3 items pertaining to Adblue on the service checklist (more than any other single item) so it is surprising. It also takes less than 10 seconds to double check. Gary

Mine had its first service last week and adblue done.
In fact it was also the first time the wheels had been rotated and thats after a RRS Freelander and 2 D4's serviced at 3 different main dealers which not only didnt do it, never even removed the wheels to inspect the brakes etc. Not complaining as received heavily discounted or even free servicing due to their negligence.
However never received my top up oil D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

My wheels were taken off. I have a video of this so know it was done, but they were not rotated. I thought the latest thinking is that rotating tyres is not a good idea. Am I wrong? Gary

Tks Russell. Presume you refer to ad blue ?
Shame as it spoilt what was otherwise a good customer experience. The bigger concern is always what else might have been missed. The technician who did the service came out to me with the Adblue bottles and assured me nothing else was missed, but it does undermine confidence.
All in all I think I would summarise my experience of LR (this is my first) during the ordering and service process by saying there is a lack of attention to detail. I find it surprising but it's obviously a cultural thing. Needs to be corrected from the top down. Gary
