[For Sale] Range Rover Holland and Holland. Future Classic
Ladies and Gents,
The sad time has come where due to a burgeoning car collection which is incurring the wrath of the neighbours together with my daughters expensive horse habit that I can now longer justify keeping my old favourite car.
So with sadness I am going to have to part with her....
So what is it?
For any of you avid Land Rover collectors out there this is one that you've never going to lose any money on and their value is starting to go up and up...
My Range Rover P38 Holland and Holland edition.... limited to 100 cars sold in the U.K. This was an extra special edition that was created by Land Rover with the specialist gun company Holland and Holland which featured special interior trim of saddle leather seats and beige leather contrasting panels on the dash and kick panels of the centre console. More importantly the wood inlays on the dash and doors and picnic tables were walnut but were also inlaid with the Holland and Holland logos and engravings...
Finished in a stunning Tintern green which is more of a petrol bluey green the alloys were also painted to match to differentiate this version from the lesser models.
The car is a 2001 4.6 V8 with all the usual refinements...the car has been brilliant all the time we have owned it. I have maintained it using genuine parts and it has been serviced less than every 6000 miles sine my ownership with full proper quality Magnatec oil changes and genuine filters.
Long long list of service bills including transmission oil changes etc etc. Last week I have just fitted it with a brand new genuine Land Rover battery.
It has had new LR genuine suspension airbags fitted last year all round and new brake lines across the complete rear of the car.
It has four newish Bridgestone Bizzak matching tyres with minimal wear on them.
Overall it's a great car and one because of its rarity is starting to significantly increase in value....the Dunsfold collection has one and they are starting to appear in the specialist car dealers towards the £20 k mark.
Here is one currently on eBay..http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Range-Rover-Holland-amp-Holland-4-6-Auto/282441362835?_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507&_trkparms
Realistically mine has more mileage but is almost as nice.... downsides of mine the exhaust is the original and will probably need changing....I had struggled with this as I didn't know whether to go for a stainless system or keep it as original as possible...alas that will be someone else's decision...
Second issue is the original sat nav doesn't work ( find me one that does as this is apparently their weak spot...but in reality who would use a 17 year old satnav anyway)
Thirdly the air con needs a regas.....
Overall a really lovely car that I really really don't want to sell... the money will go to my daughters horse habit and buy her another little more practical car ( not a VW 1.2 Polo see another thread!)
Come on you Land Rover collectors out there....you know you want it!
I'm looking for offers around £8995 Ono....
Ring me on 07815 153018....
Regards Ian. Farmer Chalk!

Beautiful, so glad you have been lucky with your p38. The D2 and P38 V8's are what killed LR's reputation in the US the 4.0 and 4.6 V8 engines are known to overheat and slip a sleeve liner due to the blade that LR used to cut the block being dull from years of not being sharpened.

The history is huge and no expense spared...it's got new matching Yellow Bilstein shock absorbers all round including a matching steering damper.... it's had new prop shafts and auto gearbox filters etc etc...
Fitted with Magnecor R85 updated leads, new water pump etc etc etc...see it makes even more sense now! 👍
