Altox wbus5 - module for inner fan

We now have mid of february!

Is anybody having knowledge about the release date, or was it just "alternatice facts" and a marketing gag to their stock sold this winter?
Never mind...

Sceptic Rolling with laughter

The unit is in 3or 4 cars on test, Thamas doesn't want to sell something that isn't ready and road tested, I'll chase for an update Thumbs Up

ALTOX WBUS CONVERTER (FOR WEBASTO)

Yes, thats the statement we allready received in december.

Was promised a discound and free shipping, when ordering the main unit, instaed of waiting for the set.
Hopefully altox europe is remembering that in "whenever".

To pronounce it the other way round: ther converter has not even left the early beta phase, and is far away from beeing layed out or even sent to the chinese place, where they will produce it.

Doing so, we should open straith away open up the forum chapter for the new "discovery 6".

Censored

In a german language forum called blacklandy.eu, a user called xytras, giving in his profil to be coming from Kolding!!! in Denmark, reported to have the wbus5 and been told, by developers that the converter modul will be available in january. So he wrote in end of november.

I regard this text as a fake profile of someone pretending not from the company itself.
Such a business behaviour is nothing for me.

Censored

Probably an open source developement of the last step to get the inside fan working would faster come to a point (like for example the clue for the light sensor add on for the ffrr-mod)
Probably aswell danhag and or bell or gap could present a follow-up module for the wbus5 which is surely a very goood made piece of endconsumer module.

Hijack - But this is the most recent thread and my thoughts turn to internal fans too Whistle
My D3 has the original "red wire" into the fbh plug. Long shot.....but if I connect an oval 1533 timer, will it fire the fans too? OR do I need the missing link Markland refers to too?

D3 will not without some sort of controller run the fans Thumbs Up

@markland, rather than ranting on here where Altox do not read or comment, try contacting Thomas directly from his website ??

For the record, other fan control units already exist on the market for thus application

is quite easy to start the fan with the secondary output of the Altox (monitoring the T °C)

I don't know for the D3, but on D4 there is another problem. The HVAC ECU close all the small motorized trunks that control the cabin air flow.

When the fan is activated, it is necessary to open the correct trunks....

Ok, on D4 I connect the Altox to the remote FFBH harness and when the heater is switched ON via W-BUS,
the FFBH communicates via CAN BUS with the HVAC ECU for operating all the toys needed to control the cabin flow.

For the D3? is it the same?

Hi everybody,
. Have to state aout that I'm absolutely happy with the way the app and the hardware comes, workes and is layed out or made!
The usebility is perfect to me, no doubt, except about my english as a second language.
No doubt, from my side aswell, that I'm interested in collecting knowledge, like this forum is doing for people w/the same interest.
As a user and consumer of this product with a certain expectation for both modules I just had to point out to aspects I see besides the already running module.

I wanted and need both parts of the solution and am very pleased with the first half. But I only bought the wbus5 as a groundstone for the core requirement of the inside air warming.

Will contact Thomas @ altox and inform/feedback us. thank You
Markus

The Danhag module gets around it by "freezing" the vents into position when you shut down the car.
So when you start the FBH the vents will be open and on the setting you had.

This is why you get the switch flashing and error for 5 seconds when you start the car.

Indeed, it has gone into batch production.
See here:- http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic153175-75.html

The issue to to make is as easy as possible for everyone to install and to be made to the right standard.
It's the wiring that has taken longer than expected. Thumbs Up

I'm the last, who wouldnt be happy, if it came to be delivered....

Last time it was "beginning of april", the Danish said.
Since them I heared nothing, and beanie, who's into it ALITTLEBit aswell, was not posting nothing about, if I gOt it right....

I know a lot of customers got promised to be offered a special price, and incl shipping, when it comes to delivering the gadget.

I really bought the wbus5, because I needed to use the night time heating, therefore I would be happy, as stated before,
But think, it was more a marketing-alternative-fact, that they developped the hevac module sucesslfully...

So we'll see...

Or do You a direct Link or press release of altox.ru or altox-europe?... Twisted Evil Shocked Thumbs Up

Before you drag me into this Markland, get your facts.

I like Bodsy sold Altox units in the U.K. as Thomas who is Altox Europe preferred UK sellers / agents to install the units, neither Bodsy or I are working for Altox or designing the add on hvac controller.

We can only tell you the information recived from Altox, if you have issue for some reason around the time it's taken to develop the add on unit, take it up with Altox, they have taken their time to get it right

Accept the fact that sometimes bringing a product to launch takes longer than expected, beta testing is there to flag up issues that need to be resolved before a unit can be released on public sale

I'm currently beta testing another product for another supplier, one day it'll get released for sale, but I won't tell you about it in case it's too many false promises for you Rolling Eyes
