Hi all
Iam old enough to have a paper licence still so have no restrictions on my towing outfit. Just a thought how many members on here who tow have the necessary legal licence to tow. The reason I ask is my son in law has just passed his towing test ( second time round ) which was very expensive for a single test never mind 2...... D3 HSE

Me too, test passed in 1981, so no need to jump through the jobs-for-the-boys multi level testing and licensing that so many have to suffer now.
85 for me but I was late as I was more interested in my RD 350 LC
I also have a class 1 ,that helps a bit

Just waiting to hear that when we passed the test it was so much easier. Like "O" & "A" Levels.

Was originally on a stone slab.....BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

When you passed you had to proceed at 3mph behind a man waving a flag to prove your competence

I passed my test in 1978 and started towing a home made trailer in 1982.
The trailer was based on a Reliant Regal rear axle and springs. I once transported an upright piano in it, from Gt Dunmow to Dagenham. About 4 years ago I needed to move another piano, I still have the trailer, although it now has propper trailer suspension units, but I didn't have the nerve to put such a top heavy load in it anymore! So borrowed someone and their horse box Simon.
