Hello all,
We're taking the tin tent for our first foray to the continent in the summer. We're booked onto the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry which leaves at 9am. Does anyone know how early we can get to the car park? Could we turn up late on the evening before (say 10pm) and sleep in the tin tent in the car park? I'm just wondering if that was acceptable? We thought of using a CL which is an option, but we don't want to disturb people by arriving late and leaving early.
Please can anyone offer some advice?
Cheers,
Bri Bri

The car park is open 24/7, no probs. Won't be a problem turning up and parking to one side with the tin tent.
You will obviously have to queue up for loading but if you're there for 6, there's very few in front of you. Mods:

I'm not scared, I'm outta here.

Last time we went we turned up just as the night crossing was leaving so they let us park in the lane for the night ready for the following morning

There is a remote CL at WIX about 7 miles from Harwich. Pick the right place by the driveway-- no hassle to get out.

ok, that's good to know Leon, thanks.
I guess it's just a case of parking in the lane, putting the legs down on the tintent, go to bed and set an alarm for early in the morning!
When you've venturing into the unknown, it's good to get some advice to build confidence 8) Bri
