Just fitted a new engine and it won't start?
Hi everyone
So I've just fitted another engine to my d3, it came out of a low mileage s-type jag. I swapped everything over I.e injectors turbo/manifolds all the wiring. Problem is I can't get it to start now just turns over and over. Has anyone else had a similar problem or has anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks in advance Jamie

you need to run a diagnostic test to help you figure out what the problem is

Can take some time to prime fuel.
Or spray some easy start in intake

Cheers for that, hmm I'm hoping it's not the reluctor ring 😞 Think I will double check the timing

Think I'm gonna go down the route of checking the timing, fingers crossed I've just got a tooth out or something. Will update when I've checked.

I'm getting code Po341 Camshaft position sensor A circuit range/performance, so I'm thinking if the timing is out it would be reading wrong so throwing the fault up

It's front of the left head. Cable comes out the side.

Yeah it's all plugged in, but I will double check the connectors before I start looking at the timing

So finally figured out the starting problem, I'd trapped the camshaft sensor wire. Rejoined it and it fired straight up thanks for the help people
