Damage most likely done by car cleaning company.

It seems the car cleaning company has been a bit to rough on my disco.
Looks like the high pressure cleaning was to aggressive and/or too close...

Tricky thins these high pressure cleaners...

You probably need to be aware that Land Rover made the scuttle panels from UV intolerant plastic so as they age ( and if yours is a 2005 vehicle, it's getting on in years and it's a D3 not a D4 Rolling Eyes.........and has myseriously morphed into a 2014 Laughing ) they show very similar symptoms to yours.
Doubtful it was your over zealous cleaning company tbh.

Loads of owners have replaced that panel on cars not as old as yours. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails
Make your own Narpy grill thread

Regardless, that panel is probably still made from the same UV intolerant plastic.
Check out the scuttle panel change threads, it looks identical. Mods:

Gets zonked by the pressure washer nozzle if the wand is too long and the Albanian is too short.
Not dear from Dan but include windscreen surround clips just in case they break. About half an hour or so to change.
Outrageous piece of cheapness on the part of JLR.
