Phone Mount?

Hey new owner of Disco 5 here, looking for any recommendations for a phone mount so that the phone can be seen while driving, used for navigation etc.

In my previous LR4 I had a vent mount which worked well, but the new fancy screen gets obscured when doing the same in the 5. The little cubby under the climate controls looks ideal, maybe something that anchors in the 12V socket there, but I have not been able to find any decent products.

Any suggestions on specific products? Or what are others doing? (Or am I a Luddite who should embrace InControl?)

Have a look on disco5.co.uk, more owners on there, someone may have a solution.

Why not use the new sat nav in the car it is much better than the old D3/4 ones and actually works.

I agree with Russell, I drove to London and back using the cars nav and it was pretty much faultless. Also the car will readout text messages.

The sat nav is certainly MUCH better than the LR4, but I would still like to use Waze for even more up-to-date info....

+1 for Google maps. I haven't bothered with a bespoke satnav for years.

Don't know, mines just does it, if you're stationary you can read them on the screen, if you're driving then it reads them out. I'm using iPhone, don't know if that makes a difference.

From iGUIDE, I'm using the standard Incontrol system

Really? Isn't it the same as that found in the Evoque (which I have) and the XF (which I use for time to time) both of which are complete crap?
