Awaiting delivery

At last I've found a car, it's the 6 speed, but test drive was fine apart from the car was pulling to the left. Lower arms have been changed so I'm expecting it's not been tracked after this. Dealer says they will sort this.

It's a 2011 and 93k miles, dealer agreed that as there is no proof of cam belt change they will do it as it's not far off due.

Also the rear tailgate wont open so thats goto be fixed too.

Stornaway Grey, several extras, fridge, active xenon, heated steering wheel, towbar, tinted windows, tyre pressure monitor, 20" alloys and side steps.

12 months warranty included.

will post some pictures once I get it.

My only concern is when you open the rear doors the edge of the wheel arch liner is down on the edges both sides, it looks like it will just bend back up, not sure if it's supposed to be like that or not.

Thanks

Paul

Sounds like a fair bit to get fixed. The rear wheel arch liner thing - that's the way they go with time. my own are the same. id be getting the dealer to replace if you can.

And dont worry about the 6 speed. I prefer it to the 8. I feel that the 8 is constantly changing up and down, at the slightest request for acceleration!

The six speed was very nice, I have virtually the same box in my current Audi A6 Quattro, though from reading the disco is version 2 of the 6 speed the Audi was version 1.
Been happy with it in the Audi.

Even flushed the gearbox oil and filter change though access is easier lol.

I don't feel there's much work to do on the car, the cambelt was my main concern and they are doing that, four wheel alignment and the tailgate which is a common problem so I see.

Will try to get the liners changed but I'm handy with a spanner so should be good. Smile

I'm with Phil on this...from my experience I much prefer the 6sp over the 8sp. Thumbs Up

Invaluable. Thumbs Up

I've driven the 8sd for a bit but prefer 6sp, found the 8sp was difficult to control properly when manoeuvring on a sloping drive. On the road didn't think it was any better.
