Duel battery installation
After the advise on here got the t-max split charger kit and D34 yellow top battery from tayna. I ordered the battery clamp and the two holding bolts from company England. Spent Saturday fitting it all in, very pleased with job. Now final part to complete, but the battery clamp is wrong one? I have been sent same battery clamp as on starter battery. Battery back out no HF operating yet. Was assured when ordering the bracket was correct part for rhd discovery 3 (auxiliary battery clamp). Any advise on where to locate correct bracket? Thanks

Battery bracket
Thank you for reply. The picture shows the same type of bracket that I need. The one sent to me was opposite handed. If you wish to sell it I will take it. Thanks again

Because the +ve terminal was going to be right under the bracket I had to rotate the battery 180 degs. Bit of a short +ve lead from the solenoid, will have a look at getting a longer cable, say http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/gar...le-45cm-18 , & routing it better, and prob move the solenoid. Always something needing fiddled with.

If I can be upgraded from Heath Robinson to nearly a proper job I'll be happy. Robbie would be cringing which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

You don't even want to know what he said after looking at my 150 amp breakers on my dual battery install when he looked under my bonnet

It just has to work - it doesn't need to look pretty

Agreed, but had to move various bits of aluminium away from the brake pipes. They have to work, my beer fridge is secondary.

Is there an actual slot in in the underbonnet area to fit this extra battery? Looks to be smaller than the original battery?
Are these primarily for running auxiliary power for inside the car functions or to provide extra starting power too?Discovery 3 tdv6 HSE 2007

Yes . you are just using the space provided for the battery on a LHD vehicle, and the correct clamp is the LHD version as well
