Help needed - Open Sky Rooftent and ARB Roof Rack Cage

Hi guys,

Hoping you can help me out.

I finally managed to get an Open Sky Roof tent and awning and so today I went to our local ARB dealership to source a roof rack cage. I was told it would cost about AUS$450 for the cage and $150 for the fitting/mounting kit. When I tried to order I was told the shipping would add an extra $600 and ARB didn't do a fitting kit for the LR3, but I could buy (at knock-down price) a rack for a defender and go to a local machine shop where they could 'make it fit'!

They didn't seem to understand that I wanted the rack with a flat rear section for the roof tent and the defender model they were trying to flog me was the short version which would need a fair bit of cutting and welding to get it even close to what I wanted.

I reckon they were trying to offload un-shifted stock but they were adamant that ARB didn't do a KIT for the LR3.

Can any of you tell me -

1. if ARB do make a kit for the LR3
2. if any of you guys know of a dealer that would be able to supply and ship/air freight a rack and kit to Abu Dhabi

Thanks in advance
