connecting new fuel line from fuel tank to WEBASTO heater!

Hi there, Webasto heater didn't work (would start up then shutdown due to no fuel) so decided to take off the fuel line and suck the fuel hose to prime it. Lo and behold! discovered that the line is cut and leads to nothing!

I suspect it wasn't reattached to the dosing pump hoses, I can’t find the dosing pump though, any ideas where it is and if it needs the cover plate removed to access it?

thanks !

Turns out the fbh fuel line wasn't connected to the fuel line to the tank. I've connected it under the wheel arch but can't seem to draw any fuel when sucking on the line. Is there a priming procedure? is it a one-way valve? assuming that perhaps if the fbh activates the dosing pump will start pushing fuel up this line.

Many thanks,

You cant suck the fuel through, the pump is mounted in the middle near enough of the gearbox cross memeber on a rubber mount. Its a pulsing pump. You can prime it with a GAP or similar tool.

Fixed! So after resetting the FBH using the plug out method it finally fired up today! Nice and warm within 5 minutes of starting the engine. Thanks for all the help! ❤️
