Phenomenons- Not faults but I am at the end of my Knowledge |
|
Some month back I posted to have found the root cause of the F in the display. Transmission Not all gears available, parking brake failure....All errors read saying „Lost communication...“
When I was about to give up, as a last resort I changed the fuel filter and all was good. Until 1 week ago.
All fault messages are back with F like F d in the Display. I can stop immediately and erase all faults, if I cannot stop immediately and keep driving it throws up E upon stopping and pulling the key out.
Then it is impossible to erase the faults unless I disconnet the battery.
I AM AT THE END...and all Family members hate the Car. Achim

Have you checked that no water has made its way into the foot wells. I had a similar problem that I traced back to the passenger side footwell. Absolutely soaking, I had to dry it out and repair the cabling under the door sill. Not a difficult job just fiddly.

I agree with RPS, something is getting wet.
Battery out, check behind it.

Do it again and unplug everything behind the battery, check for corrosion and refit It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Next suspected area are the door sills I assume. Wires & connectors in the left fender are clean as well. Achim

Symptons, indicate a "Can Bus" problem, more than likely a connector. Have you checked connectors at and in behind the the internal fuse box. These get wet and corrode if you have ever had a water leak.

You mean the fuse Box on the passenger side (LHD) ?
All seems ok, no lose connector or cables. Also checked the wiring loom in the left (driver side) wheel arch.
I start hating the D3 and its gremlins Achim

The other place I would check is the "Transmission Control Module" connections. In the engine bay, it is known for problems as water gets on it from around the scuttle area
