Hi, thank so for being a member of this forum. For a few months ago I bought a Land Rover for the first time, and I love the car.
From Norway, so sorry for not the best English.
Land Rover Discovery 3, 2,7tdv6 2005. My power steering pump leaked oil in the front so I changed it. Bought a new pump from advanced factors.
After installing it the wheel is harder to move then it was before with the old pump, and it doesnt feel good. The wheel is not going back to straight position after doing a turn.
Sometimes the steering wheel is hard and sometimes it is not, and the old pump wasn’t like that.
I am shure I used the right oil.
So, does anyone have any experience with this? What can be the problem.
Picture of the order so you can see which pump I’ve ordered.
Best Regards Michael Skare

Could also be the steering column lower UJ.
They have a habit of getting stiff and affecting the steering.
The failure of the steering to self centre when driving is a classic symptom.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!

Yes, I thought about that, but a little weird that steering column broke down at the same time as I changed the pump.
Thanks for answer.
