Amber Suspension Warning & MoT |
|
Sorry, I've failed to find this via searching but sure it must have been discussed previously...
Is an Amber Suspension Warning light classed as an MoT fail? Cheers,
Gareth

Yes.
In my experience, the only warning light they may accept is the EML, all others are
a fail.
Get hold of someone with an IID tool and clear the fault, it might stay away long enough for you
you to get the car MOT'd in which case, at least you have bought yourself a little time to get sorted.

****!
I have a Nanocom and can clear the fault myself, the problem is it comes back pretty much straight away. So far I've replaced the compressor and air tank, as well as some pipework.
The problem appears to be wiring related as it is intermittant (but pretty constant) and points to overheating of the compressor, even when you first start the car, suggesting a wire is loose/shorting somewhere and giving false readings. I've not managed to find the offending wire/connection yet though.
Guess I'll be lying in the cold tonight prior to tomorrow's MoT Cheers,
Gareth
