Back in a Disco 4.... brilliant
Hi folks,
After a couple of years as the proud owner of my previous Disco 4 (a 2013 HSE with black pack), I had a rush of blood to the head a year ago and traded it for an ex demo Kia Sorento (totally competent but just not the same, not nearly the same).
12 months on, I've take the plunge and rejoined the fold - with a Loire Blue 2014 HSE with black pack. Facelift model this time (otherwise the same as I had before) and totally delighted with it. I lurked about as a guest on the forum last time - so finally making it official
Cheers

Aha! Vehicles that are not Land Rovers....
I have had loads, and whilst I do own a D3 for messing around in my daily drive is a Lexus NX. In many ways a better car. But it's a bit like comparing a carton of apple juice to an apple.
A carton of apple juice will:
1. last longer
2. be cheaper due to production economies of scale
3. more consistent flavouring
3. more robust and resiliant
4. cheaper to maintain
5. expertly and professionally designed packaging
6. won't let you down when you need it
but it doesn't matter what way you look at it - it's just not an apple is it?D3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven
Jeeps, Lexus, X-trails... Too many to name..

Cheers guys. Appreciate the complements.
Dave T - will be keeping it black. No shiny side steps this time around. May even swap my silver Thule bars for black... or is that too far?
Professorpool - definitely a heart over head decision to come back to a Disco. Wife and family said "What - you're swapping out the Kia already?" then when I told them what for, they all went "Yeah, we loved the old Disco". Says it all really. I love a car with character. Means i might hold onto it a bit longer too!
