Measures and encumbrance side steps LR 4 |
|
Someone can tell me measures and encumbrance side steps for LR 4 ?
I would like to know if their ledge stays in line with the rear-view mirrors both open and closed because I have limitations of entrance to the garage door
thanks in advance by paio

buon giorno!
quick look at mine and the steps - which are either LR or a decent copy - are not sticking out any further than the folded mirrors.
possibly they are no extra width than the wheel arches but i'll wait til it's lighter (and warmer) before I go and check. .

Thats correct, the steps do not stick out further than the mirrors (in fact well short of the mirrors width)

Ok thanks So you confirm that they do not exceed the size of the mirrors ? (close & open mode)
In fact when I go into the garage (LR4) I have to close the mirrors
Happy New Year

On my MY16 D4 (with the slightly more bulbous mirrors) the steps are about 1.5CM inside the width of the mirrors when closed

How do you get out then? With steps fitted you wont be able to step down onto the ground will you?

Its only to get through the doors, once inside the mirrors can be opened It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I would not be without the 'step' - use it to climb into the vehicle and more importantly to step onto when getting out without squashing the seat bolster - even on access mode. I'm 6 foot and can't see a problem...
Or have I misread this thread ..... ... wouldn't be the first time! 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black
