Anyone seen this connection on FBH?
Trying to fit Altox controller today, found this attached to FBH loom....
Anyone seen this connection?
The red (with black stripe) looks like it goes to pin 2
Not sure where the black goes....
Shall I use this to connect?
Cheers

Can you check with a meter to see if they are actually connected and not just the same colour wires? And check if the black wire is a earth wire. It could be from a previous controller installed if it is connected to the heater.IID, webasto software and workshop facility's available.

Ignore the two pin connector. Pretty sure that’s transit relay.
You connect to the red wire of the Fbh plug so cut it as long as you can from the Fbh plug and join the blue wire from the Altox to it.Bodsys Brake Bible

Yeah, couldn’t even try to test continuity in that plug.
Wired to pin 2 now.
Is there any reason why the unit can’t sit in engine bay?
Cheers!

Moisture, it's not a sealed unit, so while it may be fine under the bonnet it's safer to mount it in the car.

I’ve fitted mine under the bonnet for now, will run the wires into the cab at some point but the fuse box isn’t sealed and that is ok in there.

Same here, shoved it into fuse/battery box until I know it works.
Now at the activate sim point....but will do that tomorrow.

Update:
Altox controller fitted and working...... if only the FBH was behaving itself !!!
Rather than dismantle and try and fix the fbh...
I've got one coming from car breakers, a 2014 one, so should be good!
The controller works though, great communications in that it sends texts if it fails etc.
Pretty easy to set up.
The GPS location part is fantastic!...so tempting to check that car is where I parked it!
Not tried to see what it does when moving, will save that for next time the wife borrows it !!
