Bolts on Front Runner Slimline II

I'm planning on buying a roof rack for my Disco 3, to accommodate my rooftop tent. I was about to get the Front Runner Slimline II full rack, but then the specialist who services my car told me the bolts on that rack loosen over time. According to him you have to check tightness on all bolts every few months. Does any one have this experience on a FR Slimline II?

Had one on for years without an issue. If you are worried you could use some thread lock for extra piece of mind.

Thumbs Up

I have that rack on my D3. All the bolts use nyloc nuts except for the bolts that actually bolt the rack to the roof. I have a roof tent mounted on the Front Runner brackets. We do overlanding, and have only ever have one bolt come loose that holds the rack onto the car. I always check the car over including all the bolts on the rack before we set off, and only had the above small issue. It does not surprise me, as we’ve done thousands of miles on seriously corrugated roads. It’s a great rack with lots of accessories Thumbs Up
