Hello All,
later this year I am going to have to replace the front struts. The airbags are fine, but the dampers are shot.
I have been looking at the different possibilities, and I will simply replace the whole strut, but I see that there are struts different companies.
The Dunlop ones seem to be a good compromise (prise-wise), but I have seen some with Monroe dampers. These are more expensive, but are they worth the extra price?
Thanks for your comments.

Out of curiousity how did you determine that the dampers are shot?

The main giveaway is the ride.
If I push down on any corner, it continues to bounce approx. 5-6 times rather than the 1-2 times that it should.
Also, if I look at the state of the dampers, they are very rusty at the bottom.
My RRS won't go in to access mode. When I try, it goes down, and then claims that it has hit something and goes in to offroad height. This is often a sign that the dampers are past their best.
