Hi all I have a 2011 3.0 SDV6 Disco 4, its just started a strange fault, it just cuts out while running, if i am driving it tends to just bump it self and carries on, if low speed I roll to a stop it restarts and off I go it does it about 3-4 times a day but I know it will break down one day, The fault code its giving is P0336 crank sensor, there is a recall for this year to replace the crank sensor and pick up ring(gearbox off) for this exact fault on the TDV6 model, LR saying mine is not subject to this recall but as the recall is due to faulty parts fitted new I was trying to find out if mine is subject to the same faulty parts as the same year TDV6 model, but at worst have read you can change just the crank sensor(not the pickup ring) without removing turbos etc, any advice welcome on the subject...Thanks

Hi thanks for the PDF, yes saw this yesterday but mine is a 2011 SDV6 not a 2011 TDV6 has in that recall, but I was trying to find out if they use the same crank sensor and pick up mine does, might give me a argument with LR to get it done on recall...Thanks again

Hi Guys changed just the crank sensor only on my 2011 Disco SDV6 and it worked, LR would not do it under recall they said the TSB that covered My car was just advice on how to repair and not a recall, but found new genuine sensor with the old part number from Brit parts so no updated ring needed in the gearbox, real horrible job took 5 hours but car running spot on now and repair cost £79.00 so very happy compared to £1200 plus vat quoted by LR, thanks all
