Blue smoke on start on 09 disco help

Hi I’ve been to look at a lr3 need to make a decision on buying it by the morning it’s been sat for a month and when we started it and drove off for a test it chucked blue smoke out for a mile then back to black normal smoke and when it was warm it was fine everything works and engine is sweet as a nut just not sure about the smoke they said it moves from for court to back of garage every morning and night so that’s why ? Any one know if it’s fine or not

My D3 had stood for some time when I first test drove it and it laid down smoke like a WW2 battleship, since then (3 yrs) no smoke issues at all.

I would have reservations mate
If your asking this question you know or feel something isn't quite right
Not sure on your reason to have to make a decision by the morning but as it's on a forecourt I guess it's a dealer
And someone else may be interested
I bought an 09 that had sat for 3 weeks it only just fired up as battery was down .no smoke like you described
Just my suspicious mind I always play devils advocate
Phil

Maybe pay for some fuel ask for a decent long test drive then come back the next day before they move it onto the forecourt for a cold start and see how it goes.

Does it have a good service history backed up with bills .what's the milage
I deliberately bought above 100k
I found mine in the colour I wanted .theres only one colour really Stornoway Grey ,
All belts had been done. new brakes all round. front wish bone done and a new AMK compressor
Even with all that done and an immaculate dealer history I've done a few small jobs
Front wheel bearing .door lock actuator and an EPB issue
Best Landrover I've had out of quite a few
Hope it works out for you as when they are right they are a fantastic vehicle Thumbs Up
