Just noticed my coolant is getting a bit low. Is there a special type I need to use or is the Halfords stuff I use for a Vauxhall Astra ok?

Is there a specific name or code for that? Can you get it at Halfords?

Yes in Halfords it is the pinkish colour known as OAT, (NOT the green colour stuff). 2 litre bottle.

Just check what is causing the loss as this may lead towards more expensive repairs!

Sold as concentrate to be mixed 50/50 with water. I use distilled or cooled boiled water for the mix.

Ethylene glycol based antifreeze with OATS corrosion inhibitors, it is an organic coolant so as to meet enviromental regulations if spilt.

Brilliant! Thanks for the help, all sorted.
I’ll keep an eye on the level to make sure it isn’t dropping too quickly.
