My New Discovery - awsome! |
|
I've had my new D3 for just over a week ...... replaced my faithfull TD5 (which replaced an even more faithfull Tdi300). It rocks, and then some.
Hours of fun pressing buttons, setting up the music, looking through the engine compartment. tracing piping and wiring.
And then there's the driving. The best so far - by far!
Can't wait to take it to the Alps skiing at the end of January, although I need to bottom out the chains issue (never had the need in the Tdi, never needed them with the TD5). I've read all of the threads on chains in the forum, need to explore the options.
Oh happy days ! D3 HSE MY09, auto, Santorini Black, Black leather, Black windows ... black IS the colour ...
Golf Mk6 GT TSi, Red - supercharger and turbo - the pocket rocket!
Gone but not forgotten:-
D3 XS MY08, manual, Java Black, black leather
1999 TD5 XS auto Oxford blue
1994 300Tdi auto Niagra grey
Life is a voyage of Discovery ... now where did I put the map and compass!

Excellent!
You'll still have lots more to discovery and learn.
Make sure you come along to one of the forum gatherings; social, off road and both!

Glad you like the car We are looking at wool chains embedded with silica at the moment. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I've had mine for just over 2 weeks now - I'm right with ya brother.
As mine is 'pre owned' its still got a few suprises - I found out this morning that it had a fuel burning heater that I didn't know about, and a plug in tow bar stashed away !The previous owner has stripped out the towing electrics though - cheap skate!
Good Luck and happy disco-ing.
