Central juntion box reinstall problem |
|
I finally got around to repairing the sunroof drain lines. To access the passenger side (U.S.) drain line you have to remove the cental junction box. Very tight clearances! Other than being a complete PITA seemed to go fine...
Unfortunately as soon as I turned it the car back on I now get a host of errors and nonfunctioning components
Sunroof nonfunctional
Front windows non functional. (Rears work fine)
Tail gate wont open
Car believes all the passenger and driver doors are open
Parking break fault (although seems to function fine)
Special Programs Unavailable
"Brake" warning light amber
Power driver seat not functioning (passenger is fine)
I have tried a hard reset by disconnecting battery, clearing faults with iid, reseating the three large plugs on face of CJB, putting battery charger to ensure its topped off.
I have not tried reseating the plugs on the back of the CJB to access them. I hate to do that without knowing if one of rear plugs controls the faulty items above. I haven't been able to find the answer. Not only is it a pain, but I dont don't want to potentially damage any more wires/connectors like i am afraid I have done already, by removing and reinstalling it again.
Thanks for any help or info you can provide.

I've done this job and it is a PITA. I don't know which electrical systems are powered by the 2 rear connector blocks but that's where I'd start. Whilst you can't see what's going on, you can feel the connector inserting itself into the CJB as the clamp lever is closed. Make sure that both clamp levers are fully open then introduce the CJB. Good luck.
