Where to mount altox unit on a D3

So I’ve put my altox unit in the battery box just to get it in and working, it’s the easiest place to mount it. The problem I have is a park in a few few spots with low signal and I’m struggling to get a signal some days. If I open the bonnet I get a great signal eveywhere so I’m guessing the problem is where I’ve got the unit mounted. I know in a D4 you get a good signal in the boot but I don’t really want to chase a wire all that way if I can help it.

So my question is, where else can I mount it that’s close ish to the engine bay but would give me a better signal.....

Many thanks.

Pete.

Inside the battery box in your case, RHD....... Brake servo box if LHD

If you want to install it inside the cabin, see here https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic154642.html

May be inside the cabin, if you install the Altox unit closer to the windscreen you can improve the reception......
