From out of the shadows...
Afternoon all, thought I'd better say hello after being a site member for some time, yet today I am making my first posts.
Last week bought my first Discovery from the modern era - quite a difference from my well loved D1, which felt luxurious all those years ago, but pales into insignificance against modern metal.
My car is bog standard, SE Tech in Ipanema Sand.
Already invested in a Gap IIDTool, although I have bought the car with 4 years of warranty (x2 LRA and x2 Extended) so hope not to use it too often!
Have also bought a Ctek MXS10, as from browsing it seems that battery management is vital on these cars.
No doubt will be buying a few more toys as time goes by.
2011 D4 XS - OBD port protection, RLD spare wheel protector, All LED interiors lights, Timed Climate enabled, iiD tool paired.
2011 D4 Landmark - Stolen from same dealer before I paid for it
2011 D4 GS - Stolen whilst at dealer ... All LED interiors lights, DRLs, Spare Wheel protector.

Welcome. That's the colour I wanted for my D4 at the time, but I couldn't wait 5 months for one built to spec so settled for silver.

Baffled by the colour
The stealer had the car listed as being in Ipanema Sand.
However, whilst having a poke around under the bonnet I have just found a sticker stating it is Aruba Gold.
Wondering if it had been resprayed I did some research, and it seems that Ipanema Sand only went up to MY2014, and was replaced by Aruba Gold in MY2015.
Look pretty much the same, so I'm happy as that colour was what I wanted, but they seem to have different paint codes, so are different.
IS - 824/GAQ
AG - 995/GAT
No idea if those codes are universal, or specific to the site I was looking at.
It could explain why a couple of touch-ups were so obvious (now sorted).
