Remover the fuse for the fbh in the box next to the battery, count to 10 and then put it back in. Then try to connect again, this normally works for me.
Pete.IID, webasto software and workshop facility's available.

When I did mine. I purchased the fbh diagnostic lead from the sites shop and plugged that into the vag lead. Had to fiddle around with the software but works fine now.

Your lead must be recognised by your computer to proceed. There is an issue with designating a COM port that confuses some users but firstly you must have the correct drivers installed on your PC so the lead will actually work. After you've done that it is pretty straight forward.
Have you installed the drivers or have you just gone for plug + play? ( If you've gone for the latter, it probably wont work )Mods:

So you have selected drive W-BUS and when you click Start diagnostics the WTT initialisation box comes up,,,
Which COM port are you using, mine was set on 4 but changed to 6
Sorry I know I'm not much help, if I was anywhere near my vehicle I'd set up the WTT and check it out but unfortunately Ii'm away on businessDiscovery3 TDV6 GS

For fear of repeating myself could I suggest you re-read my post and answer the question regarding the drivers?
If you haven't installed the drivers, you'll never get it working. Mods:
