V8 hse + wheel spacers +17 inch rims
It seems to be well established that the smallest size of rim you can use on the v8 hse is 18 inch because of the brake caliper size.
What about if you use spacers like these https://www.direnza.co.uk/land-rover-range...61-t6.html
Has anyone tried it?
Is there any reason why 17 inch rims should not work?

I have a NAS v8 hse 2007.
I fitted 17" LR wheels with spacers prior to the v6 sized brake rotor conversion to allow without spacers.
Note this: not all spacers will work. I have 2 sets from H&R who make the best I've seen with pressed in studs, not just threaded in which can loosen and be basically annoying.
The thinner 25mm wouldn't work on the rear, I had to use the thicker spacer....
Now I will apologize because I cannot recall if I still had to grind off some of the brake caliper or not...
I'm leaving the post here though so that other people can see that grinding some of the outer edge off isn't a problem.
Ok, yeah, aside from the spacer, I also had to still grind about 1/8" off outer edge. Keep in mind it's actually the rear caliper that is the tightest on a v8 due to the odd size of the rotor combo.
However, if you are near in need of new brake rotors anyway, that's really the best way to do it. I got EBC and green their pads.

On further thought, I really don't want to grind my brake calipers. What if I just used really big spacers, say 45mm? Is there any reason why that would not work with 17" rims?
