Traillander (SP?) roofrack |
|
I have been commissioned by the Minister of war and finance to further accessorise the D3, and with a roofrack. A trip to ARB, and they showed me the Traillander Roofrack. Apparently manufactured in Perth, and it looks great, and has a mesh floor, so loading and fastening would be great.
Price is steep at $1600, so it is not a decision made just by looks. I need some input from other owners. Any experience with this type of roofrack. Any other suggestions?
Thanks,

Have you had a look at the new Rhino Platform Rack for the D3?
I am currently investigating this for mine as I like the flatter platform type. Kaymar rear bar and tyre carrier; Safari Snorkel: ARB under-bonnet compressor; LRA fuel tank; Winch, bullbar; Cibie Super Oscars; Rhino Platform Roof Rack, Reversing camera; Traxide auxiliary battery system, 17" rims - Cooper ST.

Is that Trailander or Tracklander? I have a tracklander bought from ARB a couple of years ago for around $1200.
They are made by Jarram Products I think who are in Welshpool.
Having said that ARB were cheaper than Jarram when I bought mine but since then ownership of ARB has changed and their pricing has turned to being uncompetative, might pay to check out Jarram now.
I like the product, well built and well finished plus there are a number of accessories available

Hi Guys,
Will, I have looked at the Rhino, but do not like the bars with temp rookracks. I need something to hand a worklight off, and some spots.
Richard, I suspect you are correct. It could have been Tracklander, thus the (SP?) spelling indicator. Are you happy with it? Have you got some photos of it on the car. I asked the ARB consultant, but they did not have any pics.
Thanks guys.
