I just need to know size, facilities any restrictions (adults only etc). PM me if you prefer, I’m not a member but I need to know more about them due to a planning application.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

These are all what C&CC call Certified Sites (CSs). That means they have a maximum of 5 caravans / 10 tents each and as long as they stick to that they don't need planning permission. any more than that and they do.
Crossbush and Houghton Farm have the basic minimum facilities (ie no electric, no toilets). Charmill has electric and chemical toilets. Pets welcome at all 3. No special restrictions.

We approached the Caravan Club about becoming a CL. We were passed. Minimum requirements are fresh drinking water tap and drain/tank for the waste water/toilet to be emptied along with a tap.
They also looked at visibility getting onto and coming off site. ie trim back hedges and so on. They also wanted the gates set back into the field to allow a long car and caravan to be able to pull of the road.
All straight forward stuff to be honest.
We live in a AONB and were passed no issues. I was asked to let the neighbors know out of courtesy although you don’t have to. The Caravan Club have the right to pass the planning with a five van site.

My neighbor is trying to get a campsite 30 pitches for 50 tents in a woodland. He’s claimed there are no campsites in a 5 mile radius when I’ve found 7 including one next door that I don’t think he knows about. If he went for a CS the neighbors would be happy but he won’t as he’s always right. It went to appeal last year and lost, the National Park aren’t happy with it and neither are we.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Not all all CL or CS sites are restricted to 5 units, well they are but there is a way round it, each area must must be segregated, there is a site near Chester that has C&CC 5 pitch site, M&CC 5 pitch site and a Motorhome club 5 pitch site and their own site all separated by fences and hedges. The site we were at at the weekend was a CS, but here were at least 20 other pitches on three sides of the CS site, ticks us off as we want peace and quiet, they should be made to advertise the fact.==================================
