Iid tool will not increase suspension height
Hi all
I have had my iid tool for a month or 2 now and get on really well
And have done many of the changes and updates to to both my 2005 D3’s
I have a problem as I go off-roading quite a lot and the main reason
I bought the iid tool was the control over the suspension but am unable to increase the height
When I try to increase fronthe iPhone or iPad app it just won’t allow any mm increase?
I can lower and deflate and all other functions just not raise which is very frustrating
Also Felt a little misled as it was not clear in the advertising that it was only the L322 that you could
Modify the various terrain settings and save them?
Can anybody help with this please?

Have you tried emailing GAP with your queries, they are very good when it comes to Customer Service. They may have to reverse engineer your specific problem and then it just entails downloading an update to your IID and loading it to your vehicle.
Just remember they are in Canada so at least 5hrs behind, which is quite useful as they work till about 10pm our time

Iid height
Hi
As attached image of the manual the L322 and other models you can permanently set heights for access and off road mode which is what I would like to achieve but this is not available on the D3
So will have to adjust manually when I can get the iid tool to work properly
I now am gonna order an easy lift kit but that’s another £400+ 😳😳😳 on top of the iid dongle I have already bought

Ive not looked, but is there any way to adjust the sensor physically in its mounting bracket, ie slot the holes to fool the car into running higher for minimal spend?

I believe that once standard height has been set on the D3 access and off road height is +-50mm if that.

Hi all
Thanks for the replies
I sent another email to Gap and got an instant online response
All resolved now excellent suport👍😂😂
The problem was one corner
Was already set as 250mm (the maximum)
So would not allow any further adjustment
I was recommended to do a calibration which I have completed
And now can adjust all suspension by +20mm
I was looking for more and also now realise that I cannot
Run off road height above 25-30mph so I need an Easy Lift kit form Land Rover passion
😢 another 4-£500
Let’s hope the other half does not join this
Forum or get my bank statements 😂🤞

I don't see why a D3 would be different from a D4 but with my IIDTool I can save 3 sets of height settings in addition to the original one. When you calibrate "normal" ride height to be 50mm higher (or 49mm I think mine didn't do 50) then you are at the same height as previously "normal" plus pushing the "off road" height. That +50mm is one of my saved settings which I use when going bush. When back on the black stuff I go back to the original setting as I won't need to be in "off road" height all the time.
As you have re-calibrated "normal", it won't drop down when going over 30mph.
When having re-calibrated "normal" 50mm higher, you can still use the off road button in the cabin to effectively go to extended height.
Have a read of my group buy, the Easylift is far simpler to use to control suspension, multiple height option whilst moving at the touch of a button or via phone on Bluetooth👍

On my D4 we had a problem on a trip when using off-road model a lot, in that the terrain got easier and harder, and so on the easy bits we were going faster and the car lowered, then had to press 'off-road' to get it to raise again. Half a dozen times and then all ground to a halt on the bump stops as the compressor had overheated. Waited half an hour, went for a walk ,reset the codes, and all was well.
Then raised the 'normal' height by 50mm, which give +50mm to the off-road height too, but we could then run in normal all the way without cycling the compressor, and problem solved.
