Looking at my treat for the car for this month being an awning ready for summer camping trips to replace the tarp I'm currently using.
Came across this on eBay & will probably comit to buying tonight but just thought I'd check with the fountain of knowledge before parting with the cash. Any one had any experience with these or know if they do any forum discount ect?
£169 inc postage, 2 L shaped brackets & a pvc storage bag. Only downside is the colour not matching the roof tent.

Tom, looking for an update to this thread please as you'll have had almost 12 months use from your awning now.
Would be interested in your comments as I too keep looking at this model. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.

I'm not scared, I'm outta here.
I have only used a hand full of times since purchase.
In my opinion it is great value for money, robust and easy to use. If you are on a smaller budget like myself i would say go for it. If you have a little more to spend i would hold out for a used fox wing or similar.
Attaching it to my prospeed rack was a bit of a pain with the brackets that came provided. I now have a frontrunner rack and simply drilled a few holes in the side of the rack and through the inside of the awning, bolts through and its on solid.
One tip if you do purchase one is i used two military issue ponchos as sloped side attachments to block out wind and rain etc and it worked great. If i remember correctly i attached them on with a few cable ties.

We at 4x4overlander have a European made awning and soft top roof tent for evaluation.
We are flying out to inspect the European factory next week of this reputable manufacturer.
We will not be able to price match the cheap Chinese imports. The awning fabric on the ones we hope to import from Europe is 280 gsm ripstop polycotton PU coated compared to the Chinese versions being made out of 250gsm polyester PU coated.
So keep an eye on our website and please compare properties as well as price.
