After getting my D3 back from the panel beaters after repairs to the rear wings I can only open the boot by pressing the open/shut buttons on the dash, the problem with this it needs two people one to push the buttons and one to open the boot while they are pressing otherwise it will only partially open and will not fully release. I have tried using the key but that is programmed for the panic button and I cannot clear it any suggestions appreciated.
Regards

When the tailgate is open, look at the handle. Remove the rubber cover and expect a certain amount of water to fall out. Inside there is an aluminium plate with a piece of spring steel attached, the aluminium will probably be corroded. The plate has a small nipple that pushes on a micro switch to operate the release. I frigged a fix on mine, but it depends on what has broken on yours. Dave

Yeah it will, the whole trigger unit is held in by a push fit flap at each end and its easier to put the rubber back on if its out. Use a small flat blade to prise it out. Dave
