Having read a few posts on extended warranties and in particular about Warranty Direct I have a few questions for those who have been before as my warranty runs out this summer.
This "betterment" clause. I have searched in WD's latest policy book but can find no mention of it and what does it actually mean?
Having looked at the posts regarding the crankshaft problems with the 3.0l engine do I have to ask WD directly whether it is covered?
Someone has mentioned WD don't cover suspension yet another poster had it added on, is this written into the contract?
I can find no mention of luxury care, just a lot of option to add in, is this the same thing?
Labour rates, capped or uncapped?
Customer contribution to parts? 20% doesn't sound a lot but 20% of a new engine could be a lot?
Why did I buy a Land Rover  Better to be late in this world than early in the next.

Everything seems to have changed at Warranty Direct over the last few months, so most of what you will have read on this site will be out of date by now  2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!
(One of only two known to exist in the world!)

Last time I was on a thread with you Red Merle was when we were awaiting our deliveries of our D4's!
These horror stories do fill me with dread. I had a WD warranty on a golf many years ago that refused to pay out. 
Maybe I could trade the d4 in for a nice Skoda Superb estate  Better to be late in this world than early in the next.

Blimey, well remembered!!  That was 3 Land Rovers and about 90,000 miles ago
I loved my Disco 4’s and my dream garage would have a Full Fat AND a D4 in it And possibly a few other things, but that’s a story for another day... 
I’ve had to battle WD for a claim that was clear cut in my favour, but it took several weeks and several letters before they caved in. That was for a claim of only £300, but I’d struggle to trust them for serious amounts of money and certainly won’t buy a policy for the £2,000+ per annum that they’d want for a half decent level of cover on the current Full Fat.
While crank failure would be devastating, I’m convinced that the actual % failure rate is very low; I would rather take my chances with an SDV6, than go back to driving a generic car anyday! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Having spoken to WD they are including wear and tear from day 1, the crankshaft failure is covered and the adblu system is also covered. I think I'll give the multimedia system a swerve.
Can find nothing about betterment in their policy? Better to be late in this world than early in the next.
