[Wanted] DISCOVERY 3 SE/HSE pre 2006
Looking to purchase a Discovery 3 pre 2006 (cheaper tax model) for family use - the dog no longer fits in the current car and need something bigger!
Ideally looking for an SE or HSE model, Automatic with leather seats preferred.
Family use so looking to purchase something thats been looked after and maintained properly, hence joining the group and finding one that a fellow member has cared for.
Colour/trim internally and externally not critical, would prefer darker colours but looking for a good example really.
Would look at models up to around 150k miles, service history and receipts for all major works undertaken would be ideal.
Based in West Midlands but happy to travel - budget is around £6-£7k.
New to the forum so if anyone has any pointers on what to avoid/look out for advice would be appreciated.

Wouldn't a Freelander 2 be better suited if your looking at tax brackets?Dave

Possibly - just much prefer the disco in terms of size and looks.
Also had a couple of conversations with Disco 3 owners which reassured me on durability and engine etc. From what i've read and been told the higher mileage shouldn't hurt me as long as its been looked after.
