Nothing new there - all covered in the manual.
I am not sure what this guy's super super extended mode is - he was only ever in "super" extended mode.
I have LLAMS fitted so when in offroad I can select a height that is just a little less than super extended mode at the switch of a button. When at this height and if I get grounded the suspension should take the base setting to Extended mode which in theory should take the height to the absolute max it can go but I have never tried it so not sure what happens then - but full suspension extension should be possible.
Basically LLAMs allows me to go 50mm higher than the vehicles height setting up to the absolute physical maximum the suspension will go.

Is that a Front Runner Windcheetah, Andrew? And if so, did you fab the rails on the top?

I tried this and I managed to get "extended mode" message and then the chime sound for super extended.
But the car did not go higher. Actually, front dipped a bit. I used obstacle under jacking point approach and the outcome was that the car was completely hanging on the obstacle after it claimed to go to (super) extended.
Then when I let it go back to normal offroad, I got message "raising" and the car actually went upwards, meaning that "offroad" was higher than "extended".
Why could that be that I got all the expected notifications but car did not raise higher?
Standard modes (access, normal, offroad) work fine.
if someone had put the D4 in extended mode to have a bit more room whilst outing spare back in place, then got distracted by other stuff and - perhaps due to it down for hours ? … found that the car is now firmly stuck on a bit of wood tucked into joint where rear wishbone connects to chassis … how would they get the car to raise ?
like I say, hypothetical but I ,er, I mean this person has tried foot on brake and hold "raise" for 10 seconds, heard a bong and whilst car moves slightly, it's not much and certainly not enough.
so before I ,er, I mean this person resorts to trolley jack in the morning, what else can be done ?
in equal measures.

AA Man got mine in super super extended when he tried to change a tyre, had no clue and popped off a drop link in the process, he was freaked out that his jack could not lift it high enough, but wouldn't listen to meNo longer an owner
