VIP - dealer event! ...... smashing - can't wait! |
|
Why do they bother with this nonsense - or is just me.....? Not interested in any model on offer...
It would be useful if they had a machine I would be interested in...... like a 5 door 'boxy' hybrid Defender with air suspension......

I went along to the one in Truro, they had some great deals on tbf. They offered me a very good package on a new D5 HSE, I got as far as the test drive and as much as it's a lovely place to be, it just wasn't 'that' much better than my D4 to justify the cost.
They did have a lovely used RR SVR there that was tempting though!

I wasn't sure what was involved and as I was invited went along to have a look see.
Was I annoyed !!!
I bought my new D5 at the end of April with the usual dealer 'Special discount' .
When I got there I was annoyed to see vehicles on display at discounts similar, and one or two even better, than the discount given me in April !!
I was told they had a similar display of discounted vehicles in January too.
Perhaps the one I bought was one left over from then !!
There was one consolation, my LR dealer has a good selection of hot and cold drinks and a biscuit laid out on each saucer - that doesn't fool me, I know where they keep the top-up biscuits

£7k off a D5 wow
I need to move location, my dealer doesn’t offer anywhere near the £5k.
Personally I never bother with these events. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

I've just managed to get 15% off list price of a pre-reg D5 HSE. Factory fresh, delivered to the dealer last week.
If you take into account the price rise for the 19MY, then for the same spec it equates to 20%.
No brainer!

Probably dealer stock ...the big boys tend to keep it centrally

Yep, its all offers direct via email i haven't sat down with a sales person so not sure how much more could be squeezed. I think they just have build slots of fill and know I have a Landrover to trade so will be able to move that on easily too. MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

^Late model D4's still highly sought after in the trade, apparently. I've not been looking, but have seen the odd one advertised for strong money by LR main dealers. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

They had a fully loaded 2016 Landmark on 17k miles up for £41k when I went last weekend, it was the one I had my eye on and by the time I got there at 9.30am it was sold.
