Here's one to avoid.
If you're camping and looking for a quick munch, don't bother with one of these, they're revolting.

Gentlemen ( and ladies ), I have today had the dis-pleasure of trying to consume one of Asda's own "Pot Death". I appreciate these are not the finest of camping cuisine but they're one to definitely avoid, they are utterly minging.

The original Golden Wonder Pot Noodles were actually reasonable but I could only eat the green, chicken + mushroom ones. Sadly however a few years back they removed most of the salt and it took the taste with it, even those are pretty bland now. Mods:

I haven’t tried the Asda ones. Thanks for saving me the torture narpy. Given swmbo orders never to darken our doorstep with them. To be honest it’s only daughter no1 who eats snot noodles anyway as like you said I went off them when they “improved” the recipe. Jarrod

many (many, many, many) moons ago when I was a poor student I used to stretch pot noodles to a more filling meal by stirring several slices of bread into one and thus bulking it out. The bread, naturally, was taken from the halls of residence canteen when I got my breakfast there (it was included in the price of staying there so obviously going to get my money's worth . )
one day I didn't have any bread … but I DID have half a packet of digestive biscuits. Never, ever, repeated that experience.
Nearly as bad as "Newc'y Brown" for breakfast on a scout camp.

If you’re looking for flavour, try Nissin Soba noodles. Particularly the chilli ones. There are two rules for success,
1. Never tell everything you know.
